There’s an app for that!
We are proud to announce the release of the North Hardin Guidance Office app for Android Powered devices. Due to the cost of submitting apps to the marketplace our app is not searchable from your mobile phone. You can install the app to your Android powered device by following the directions here.
Due to extreme restrictions and costs deployed by Apple on developers we are currently unable to provide a native app for iOS powered devices. However, we now offer a web app for iOS devices that can be installed to your home screen like a native app. When you visit our website from any smart device you will be prompted to visit our webapp or you can choose to view our website normally. If you choose to visit the webapp while using an iOS device (iPod touch, iPhone, iPad) you will be asked if you want to install the webapp to your homescreen.
Users of non-smart devices with internet access (Motorolla Razr, LG View, Samsung Impression, etc.) will be directed to either our mobile website or our webapp depending on the capabilities of their device.
Please note: There are NO differences between the webapp and native app for android aside from the fact that one is native and one is webbased.
We’re now mobile!
With a recent update to our website, we are now able to offer users of our website a mobile experience. If you visit our website with a mobile device, our website will detect that and render a page appropriate for your device that will help to reduce data consumption on your data plan. As a result, some features of our website may be reduced or unusable from mobile devices. If you do not wish to utilize our mobile site, you may switch at any time by clicking the “Mobile Theme On/Off” switch at the bottom of every website.
With the mobile website comes some additional functions including sharing posts via Twitter, Facebook, email, and social bookmarking services.
To access our pages, simply click the down arrow above the search icon to display a menu of our web pages.
Users of iDevices (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch) can install our website as an “app” on their phone by clicking the box with an arrow within the Safari Browser and then clicking on “Add to Home Screen.”
We hope that by implementing this mobile version of our website, more users will be able to access important information in a more user friendly and efficient manner.
